A Reuters investigation revealed that the Iranian cryptocurrency exchange Nobitex has become a central financial conduit for transferring millions of dollars linked to sanctioned entities, including Iranian government bodies. The two brothers who founded the platform belong to an influential Iranian family with ties to state power, using a different family name when established in 2018.
