Astronomer Finds a Shortcut to Mars by Following an Asteroid’s Journey Through Space

A one-way trip to Mars takes between seven and 10 months, but an astronomer may have found a shortcut by following an asteroid’s journey through space. Using early orbital data of asteroid 2001 CA21, Marcelo de Oliveira Souza identified a route that could reduce a round-trip to Mars to approximately 153 days.
