United Airlines New Boeing 787 Makes Emergency Landing on First International Flight

United Airlines deployed its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with the new ‘Elevated’ cabin experience on its inaugural transpacific flight from San Francisco to Singapore. The aircraft, delivered in early March 2025, was forced to divert back to Singapore after an electrical smell developed shortly after takeoff on April 24.
