This tiny mammal survived the dinosaur apocalypse and changed life on Earth

Mammals once shared the planet with dinosaurs until a catastrophic event 66 million years ago wiped out about 75% of all life on Earth. Among them were small, rodent-like mammals belonging to the genus Cimolodon, part of the multituberculates group that persisted for over 100 million years before extinction.
